One Love
Does your faith have an impact on how you make decisions?
How do we know what is right or wrong and then have the courage to do what is right?
God gave us a gift of love in his son Jesus and shows us a way of life in response to that One Love.
At this retreat at Camp Kinard, we’ll look at ways to let our faith be a major factor in our decision- making, especially as it relates to issues of sexuality. We are constantly bombarded by messages on this subject, but rarely do we hear or see it from the Christian perspective.
For many middle schoolers, this will be their first of many Synod LCY events. The fun will include songs, games, devotions, worship and making new friends.

SCLCY holds our Winter Retreats and our Love Projects at SCLRC facilities! We use both Camp Kinard and the Coastal Retreat center as a base of operations to do unique, vital ministries with our high school youth during Winter Retreats!

Our partnership with SCLRC allows us access to facilities that are handicap accessible, affordable and well-maintained so that we have a safe and easily-used center for ministry.

We’re not only fortunate to have such wonderful resources here in-state, but also the staff at SCLRC goes out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home.

Larry Hamrick, Herbert Loadholt, Dallas Shealy and Elliott Cox are just a few of the faces who work with our youth at these camps and retreats. We thank God for these great stewards who enable ministries such as our Winter Retreats and Love Projects to enjoy such success in first rate accommodations.
